Update: Welcoming You Back to the Library

We will be reopening on Friday 31st July and Saturday 1st August at the usual times. We will aim to keep to the routine opening hours for the future but this will rely on the availability of our volunteers. We are always looking for new volunteers so if you are interested please enquire at the library.
Please note we have introduced new safety measures and we would ask that you abide by these new rules. We would also request that you wear a face covering.
We look forward to welcoming you back to the library.

  1. Hi Beck,
I am a trustee and the Volunteer co-ordinator of Leicester Forest East Community Library and have been wondering how your Click and Collect Service has gone? We launched last week, with just 6 orders and one on the day. Obviously we hope the numbers will go up as people get to know about this service.
I notice you plan to re-open in the near future. Will this be an appointments only system or do you plan to open fully I wonder?
We would appreciate your comments, as we will shortly be considering the next step.
We wish you luck for the future and hope we are not locked down once again once we are up and running!
    Best wishes,
    Georgina Robson

    • Hi Georgina, apologies that I only just received a notification of your message. Our click and collect had a little uptake – but the library is getting busier again now that we have reopened the building. We’re operating on reduced opening hours – but hope to be back to normal as soon as possible. You can contact the trustee team on PhilK@ansteylibrary.com, we’d be glad to answer any questions – I hope things are going well at your library 🙂
