I came upon your site today by chance whilst looking for information about Ned Ludd. I was very interested to see that the Library has some documentary evidence of Ned’s existence in Anstey from parish records. I shall be very grateful if you can give me more information as I am preparing a talk for a local group in South Buckinghamshire about the Luddite revolution and, although the historical Ned Ludd was not directly involved in this revolution, it would be nice to be able to report evidence that he really did exist in Anstey. I am assuming that his real name was Edward Ludlam.
